I was born and raised in Bastrop, Texas and I'm  proud to call this area my home. I graduated from Bastrop High School in 1990 and then attended Texas A&M University in College Station where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Health and Education.  After graduation, I began teaching biology at Bastrop High School.  Although I loved teaching science, I took three years off to start my family. While I was away from school, I became certified to teach art. Art was, is, and always will be my passion.  After returning to the classroom, I taught both biology and art, which was both fun AND challenging!  I have since hung up my biology hat and have been teaching all art and ceramics for the last 6 years.
I was excited to come to Cedar Creek High School to start building the art program and to cultivate AND discover all the incredibly talented students CCHS has to offer. Go Eagles!
